Originariamente los Griegos Eolios se asentaron en la ciudad en el s. VIII a.d.C., y fue gobernada por uno de los Generales de Alejandro Magno.   Perched on a hilltop above the modern town of Bergama, is one of the most dramatic sights in Turkey.Originally settled by the Aeolian Greeks in th 8th century BC, it was ruled by one of Alexander the Great’ Generals.

	Biblioteca de Celso-Efeso-Turquía Library of Celsus-Ephesus-Turkey Author: Marta Leonor Vidal Text: Construida en el 114-117 d.d.C. por el Cónsul Gaio Julio Aquila para su padre. Las estatuas de los nichos frontales son Sofia -la Sabiduría-, Arete -la Virtud-, Enoia -el Intelecto- y Episteme -el Conocimiento-.   Built in the AD 114-117, by Consul Gaius Julius Aquila for his father. The statues ocuppying the niches in front are Sophia -wisdom-, Arete -virtue-, Ennoia -intellect-, and Episteme -knwoledge-.
	Templo de Adriano-Efeso-Turquía Temple of Hadrian-Ephesus-Turkey Author: Marta Leonor Vidal Text: Construido en honor a una visita de Adriano en el 123 d.d.C.   Built to honour a visit by Hadrian in AD 123.
	Teatro-Efeso-Turquía Theatre-Ephesus-Turkey Author: Marta Leonor Vidal Text: Esculpido durante el periodo helenístico, fue más tarde remodelado por los Romanos.   Carved during the Hellenistic period, was later renovated by the Romans.
