 The Black Pyramid-Dashur-Egypt: Dahshur, a royal necropolis 40 kilometres south of Cairo, has only recently been opened to the public, having been a military zone until 1996. The mostly ruined Black Pyramid of Amenemhet III is off limits to visitors. Its black granite pyramidion (top-most stone) can be seen in the Cairo Museum.
