 Coptic Cairo-Cairo-Egypt: Coptic Cairo is the oldest part of Cairo.It is believed that there was a settlement here as far back as the 6th century BC. Later, the Romans used an old fortress built by the Persians, called “Babylon”, that at that time was on the cliffs near the river Nile.
