Basilica of St. Simeon - Syria: After St. Simeon death in 459 AD the largest church at that time was built in his honour. The complex is made up of a monastery, a baptistery with an adjacent church propylaea and a distinctive church or martyrion, which consists of 4 basilicas coupled around a mid octagonal area in the form of a Greek cross.
