Se cambian con el nuevo año tibetano.   Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown heavenward as offerings to their deities. Longer it hangs, greater obstacles arise. Old prayer flags will be removed and replaced with new ones in every Tibetan New Year.

	Plantacion de Te - Darjeeling - India Tea Plantation - Darjeeling - India   Author: Eva & A. De Cara   Text: Al norte de Siliguri, hasta Sikkin, se extienden numerosas plantaciones de té, muchas de ellas colgadas de las montañas. Lo que empezo como el experimento del doctor Campbell de plantar unas semillas en el del jardín de su casa, acabo por ser la principal actividad economica de la zona.   The story of Darjeeling Tea started some 150 years ago when a Dr. Campbell, a surgeon, planted tea seeds in his garden at Beechwood, Darjeeling, 7000 ft above sea level as an experiment. He was reasonably successful in raising the plant because the government, elected to put out tea nurseries.

	Tren de Juguete - Darjeeling - India Toy Train - Darjeeling - India   Author: Eva & A. De Cara   Text: El famoso Toy Train (tren de juguete) construido por los britanicos en 1881, para unir las plantaciones de te de Darjeeling con Siliguri. Su locomotora de vapor tarda 8 horas desde Siliguri a la estación de Darjeeeling.   Since 1881, The Toy Train took to its narrow-guage tracks and it is kept alive today by the ingenious mechanics and engineers who continue to fabricate and replace parts for this antique steam train. The train passes through forests, waterfalls, over deep valleys and through the mountains and tunnels.
